Our promise to the future
The AVID commitment to you and our environment
We understand that moving to an AVID Property Group (AVID) address means more than having beautiful surroundings. It’s also about peace-of mind, knowing that your new home and community have been created with the wellbeing of future generations and the environment in mind. That’s why we work together with designers, planners, builders and, of course, our residents to be as environmentally sustainable as possible and create places we can all be proud of.
EnviroDevelopment certification is Australia’s leading independent environmental accreditation program for new property developments around Australia.
Established by the Urban Development Institute of Australia, their assessment recognises outstanding performance in key sustainability categories. Multiple AVID communities have achieved EnviroDevelopment accreditation, ensuring we have met the standards across Ecosystems, Waste, Water, Materials, Energy and Community categories. When you choose an AVID community you can expect to live in an address that has been designed and delivered sensitive to the natural environment.
Sustainability at Savana
We are proud that Savana has achieved the ‘Four Leaf’ national EnviroDevelopment certification in masterplanned communities from the Urban Development Institute of Australia (UDIA).
Respect the ecosystem
AVID strives to protect existing ecosystems, encourage biodiversity, and rehabilitate degraded sites. Waterwise plants are used throughout our landscaping to minimise water-use and create a natural habitat for native wildlife.
Use energy thoughtfully
We take steps to reduce energy consumption and greenhouse gas (GHG) production across the development, over and above current regulatory requirements
Conserve and Re-use Water
We implement measures to reduce potable water, from providing access to natural resources to recycling waste water for irrigation of community spirit.
Grow Community Spirit
We take every measure from planning to implementation to nurture more vibrant, cohesive and inclusive communities and encourage the growth of neighbourhood spirit
